SCHOLARSHIPS

It is time to apply for the Joe Williams GPA Scholarship, this $1000 scholarship is for an active member of GPA who is pursuing their undergraduate or graduate studies.  The scholarship funds are to be credited toward tuition, books, and other expenses as approved by the Georgia Probation Assocation.

We are pleased to announce the First Annual GPA Scholarship Program, to a spouse or child of an active GPA member in the amount of $500 who is pursing their undergraduate or graduate studies.  The scholarship funds are to be credited toward tuition, books, and other expenses as approved by the Georgia Probation Assocation.

The deadline for applying for either of these scholarships is July 15, 2009.  Your application must be postmarked by this date. 

It is time to make nominations for the Lee Broome Award 2009 and Impact Award 2009.    Deadlines for both of these awards is July 10, 2009.  Please find more information in the Forms Section.

SUMMER CONFERENCE - 2009
It is time to start thinking about GPA Summer Conference - the dates are August 12-14, 2009 at Jekyll Island, Georgia.  We will be at the Jekyll Oceanfront Resort, 975 N. Beachview Drive, Jekyll Island, GA, phone #912-635-2531 or 1-800-736-1046.  Roomrates are Single/Double - $69, Single/Double Oceanview - $75, Single/Double Oceanfront - $79,  One Bedroom Villa - $89 and Two Bedroom Villa - $101.00.
We have been insured that some of the problems we had last year will not be a problem this year.  There is still some construction going on but not where we will have rooms.
The price is still a bargain, the registration will cover three (3) meals - Lunch, Dinner and a Breakfast.

Ocean
