This site will list some management books, motivational books and self-help books.  If you have a read a good book that you think would be of interest to other staff, please let us know.  Let us know how you found this book helpful and why you recommend it.  

"It's Your Ship" - Captain D. Michael Abrashoff  - Management Techniques from the Best Dam Ship in the Navy
Even though this book is about a naval ship and the crew, it is a great book to read and how he truned one of the worst ships to the best ship.  The management techinques can easily be used in offices, no matter how large or small. 

"It's Our Ship" - Captain B. Michael Abrashoff - The No-Nonsense GUide to Leadership
This is a follow up on his first book "It's Your Ship" - Now that you have your ship in order you need to maintain and continue to grow as a leader.  It is a great guide to hel you grow as a leader.

"Never Fly Solo" - Lt. Col. Rob "Waldo" Waldman - Lead with Courage, Build Trusting Partnersehips, and Reach New Heights in Business
This is book encourages to build a relationship with your "wingman" - someone that always has your back - and supports you.   A quote from the book - "A true leader is a servant". 

"Earl's Pearls On Enjoying Excellence" - Dr. Earl Suttle and Dr. John Hubbard - 30 Pearls of Wisdom
It is a good book to help you prioritize your goals.

"The Last Lecture" - Randy Pausch with Jeffrey Zaslow 
This book was written by Randy Pausch, Professor at Carnegie Mellon.  At Carnegie Mellon always asks their professors to give a lecture as if it was their last one and what would you want the world to remember about you.  Unfortunately his was, Mr. Pausch was diagnosed with terminal cancer.   The name of his lecture was "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" - it wasn't about dying but living.  While reading this book and thinking about yourself and what your last lecture would be about.  How would I want people to remember me - am I doing everything that I had hoped to accomplish.

"Leadership Secrets from the Executive Office" - George Hathaway
